In my visit to Kyoto last year, I visited a temple called Ryoan-ji, which is famous for its beautiful zen garden. The following video shows the garden. It is just a collection of rocks displayed in a particular and well-studied way so it can estimulate your perceptions.
Another nice element in this beautiful World Heritage site is a stone called the Tsukubai. It is a very simple stone which has some letters which perfectly sum up zen philosophy:
"I learnt to be contented"
Quite a laconic sentence!
