After the Philippines, I spent one day in Tokyo. In the morning, I went with Naochan to Meiji Jingu (big shinto shrine next to Harajuku/ Omotesando). After she went to work, I stayed there and went for a walk in Tokyo. I started walking from Meiji Jingu to Harajuku, and then to Yoyogi and East Shinjuku.
In Meiji Jingu:
Around Harajuku Street.
And nice buildings in West Shinjuku!
This is Tokyo's City Hall. Quite an impressive complex of buildings.
This is an underground passage that extends for hundreds of meters (maybe even more than one km!) from Nishi Shinjuku to Shinjuku station (the station which handles the most people in the world -- several millions per day).
This is the view of East Shinjuku from the other side of the station.
Then, I took the metro and went to Nogi Jinja, near Roppongi. Quite a contrast with Nishi Shinjuku!!
